On A Dreamweaver’s Night

Say farewell to flesh,

You’ll not need it tonight,

The dreaming has begun,

The fervid shun the light,

Drift in a wide open space,

Float in an untamed ocean,

Prepare yourself, if you can,

For the ultimate emotion.

If you are silent, you may see,

The Elves dance among the trees,

If you are careful not to breathe,

You’ll catch a scent of magic on the breeze,

The wizards and the angels,

Fight wars that never cease,

The afterlife is unproven,

In death, there is no release.

The dragons fly throughout the sky,

The spell singers will all die soon,

And the guardians of the night will cry,

Ashen-fur wolves howl at the moon,

You can feel the universe bending,

With the raven’s terrible flight,

And the nightmares are unending,

On a dream-weaver’s night.

The children sing of freedom,

The magicians scream in pain

The heir to the empyrean’s throne,

Will die without a name,

And some will beg forgiveness,

Of the dark angel, Jedar’s left hand,

Give back the key to the hell-gate,

As the dead freely walk the land.

A myriad of colours are painted,

In to the waterfall of tears,

A cascade of emotion,

A life lived two thousand years,

The dream-weaver smiles,

All beauty fails with the light,

Say farewell to flesh,

You’ll not need it tonight.

ks, I am glad you liked it. If you like magic, you might like the fantasy poetry in the ‘Cyralost’ section here as I write fantasy fiction too and have some poetry in that genre to accompany it. Keep smiling, best wishes from Baldy.
