Dragonfly

A beautiful, blue lady,
Swimming in the sky,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

The dizzy and yet dulcet,
Sound of her wings on high,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

A butterfly died by the water’s side,
But she had an alibi,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

Naturally magical,
Her beauty can not die,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

Proud, passionate, powerful,
She hunts hereby,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

The paradise pool, like a screen,
A tool with which to scry,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

Unbeliever overlook,
That, which she does personify,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

Her song, like a hymn,
A lilting lullaby,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

If the will is to be enchanted,
She will edify,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.

A beautiful, blue lady,
Swimming in the sky,
From frond to frond, along the pond,
The dancing dragonfly.
