A brave breeze, fanned

By angels’ wings,

When yesterday wore

The mask of tomorrow,

And fervid extremists

Failed humanity, achieving

A greater unity than that

Which they tried to disrupt.

Hungry for retaliation,

A desperate urge to purge

This world of those

We judge too easily,

And we would serve them

Their undeserved desire

On that clichéd silver platter.

How does a hate-filled heart forgive!

We will not be bowed,

We will not be bullied,

We will be brothers and sisters.

We will love, be loving, and loved.
