Urn, Earned (from Legacy)

I looked into the urn, kissed

you goodbye and saw,

something previously missed,

that I could not ignore,

a tale told twice

with an alternative ending,

your ashes were a story,

with an epilogue, still pending.

Legacy…  Coming soon from Black Pear Press!

    Dude… Dude… Wow, this beautiful.

    • Thank you, my friend. Appreciated. Uncanny, I was thinking of you just before I saw your message. Been too long since we caught up. I hope all is well.

Yooooooo, Baldy. Yeah, dude, I saw one of your posts come up in my reader. I’m not even sure why I was in the reader, because I don’t recall clicking on anything on my phone, but there I was, and I saw this, and I read it, and I was like…damn… After a year or so of not having written anything poetry-related, it’s kind of inspiring me, you know?

It has been a while, isn’t it? Forgive my aloofness. Facebook leaves me a bit…unmotivated, most days. Lots of news about our Fuhrer-in-Chief. But, I think I’m going to at least halfway commit to keeping up with the good people I’ve come across in years past. So, all is well, mi amigo. I hope all is well with you and yours, brother.

Also, damn… You left a lot of comments, lol. Thanks man.

  2. Bro, it is always good to hear from you, no matter how long it is between responses. Life is a busy, crazy bastard, it is hard to stay in touch – I’m just glad we still do (stay in touch) because you have always been a welcome addition to my life.
I’m thrilled you’re inspired, pal. It means a lot to me, getting comments like that from someone I respect (heck, it’s always nice to receive praise from anyone!).
I am sorry I have neglected my own reading of many blogs (yours included) this last year. I have been having issues with technology, both my phone and computer are knackered, so it’s tough getting online to do little more than ‘like’ and share on facehobby. I’m getting there. Loved your photography, my friend. The family portraits are beautiful, and your ‘more arty’ pictures are outstanding. I particularly like the tortoise, and a lot of your black and white images. Likewise inspiring.
All is relatively well in the Davis household, thanks, the kids are getting big quick and my wife is as beautiful as ever. Lucky man. Tired, tired man, but lucky, none-the-less.
I hope all is well with you and yours too. Much, much love, brother. Keep smiling.
